With the MOBOTIX HUB IoT Event Search Plugin, we offer the possibility to search for IoT events in the DeskClient.

**- Image analysis event (ActivitySensor/Videomotion)**
**- Environment event (e.g. thermal radiometry)**
**- MxMessage event**
**- META Event**

How you have to configure this and how you can use it, you can see in this article.

* * *

_ **1. Configure Events in your IoT Camera** _

* * *

 ![Cam1](https://canada1.discourse-cdn.com/flex030/uploads/mobotix/original/2X/6/625647d6c1e055b690271e0009b109983d012af2.png)

* * *

_ **2. Select your Events in the Recording setting of the camera** _

* * *

Its important the the events you want to use, trigger a recoding within the camera.

in this example we ware using the Activity Sensor.

The MxHub System reacts on the following URL:

**[http://ip-adresse/control/event.jpg?output=alarmupdate](http://ip-adresse/control/event.jpg?output=alarmupdate)**

 ![alarmupdate](https://canada1.discourse-cdn.com/flex030/uploads/mobotix/original/2X/f/f303a212bc8f8d9da01404631d2d7976aef08aab.png)

This alarmupdate only appears, when a recording within the camera is triggered.

Check if the camera is armed.

The camera is now finished and ready to add into the MxHub

* * *

_ **3. Add the IoT Devices to the corresponding camera in the MxHub** _

**ManagementClient → RecordingServer → Select your RecordingServer → Select the camera you want to use → Events → Add…**

Select **Image Analysis Event: AS** and click **OK**

 ![hub1](https://canada1.discourse-cdn.com/flex030/uploads/mobotix/original/2X/5/55695317bdbc2998b5e5c2e2f3046c94753a3534.png)

This Event is now listed in the Eventlist:

* * *

_ **4. Create a Rule for Recording** _

To get a recording for the Image Analysis Event you have to create a Rule

**ManagementClient → Rules and Events**
**Right Click → Add Rule…**

Create a Recording Rule (This is only an example)

![Rule](https://canada1.discourse-cdn.com/flex030/uploads/mobotix/original/2X/d/d35aeaed6af55d255e6ab63f1916acda8eef34f2.png)

Now the MxHub is recording when the Activity Sensor of the camera is triggering

* * *

_ **5. Set the Event Retention Time** _
Managemement Client → tools → options → Alarms and events

 ![MicrosoftTeams-image](https://canada1.discourse-cdn.com/flex030/uploads/mobotix/original/2X/3/370b0f3a3b74d1d4b610150de8f0fe00014d1c2a.jpeg)

If you don’t set this, you are not able to Search for Events

* * *

_ **6. Set an Search Filter in the MxHub DeskClient** _

Select a time range for the filter
Select the camera you want to filter

Click on **Search for…**

Select **MOBOTIX IoT Events** and click on **New Search**

The following filter will appear.

 ![2](https://canada1.discourse-cdn.com/flex030/uploads/mobotix/original/2X/8/8c4687b52675ca80cd7dfcdcd3747936dd25d897.png)

Select the event type which you want to filter and search for

After you have selected the event type you can fill in a name of the event to filter more specific.
