Apple will not support MxMC as is in their next operating system release
Thank you for your question.
At present, MxMC continues to run without limitations on Apple Silicon-based Macs through Apple’s Rosetta 2 translation technology. Apple officially supports Rosetta 2 until at least autumn 2027, ensuring that existing Intel-based applications such as MxMC remain fully operational on current Mac hardware.
For more information about Rosetta 2, please refer to Apple’s official documentation:
The warning messages currently displayed by macOS regarding Intel-based applications were introduced by Apple relatively early in the transition process. Their purpose is to give customers and software vendors advance notice of planned changes that Apple intends to implement in future operating system releases, rather than indicating an immediate compatibility issue.
MOBOTIX is closely monitoring these developments and is actively incorporating them into its product strategy. Future developments of MOBOTIX VMS software will support ARM64-based platforms, ensuring long-term compatibility with Apple’s hardware roadmap and next-generation computing architectures.
In the meantime, customers can continue using MxMC on Apple Silicon systems via Rosetta 2 without any functional restrictions.
