A pale blue sky at the top with a green, yellow and blue forest and lake scene at the bottom. At upper right is a small bison and Bienvenue at the bottom in dark blue. The registration is of three serial letters and three numerals superimposed on a schooner (the Bluenose ) in two shades of blue; these were first issued in June 1989 starting at BRT 001 and will eventually supersede the former series. Older registrations from the 1979 series can be remade with the Bluenose base.
