MOBOTIX ONE Dual Extrem - Fire and Water

**Fire and water aren’t usually the kinds of things you’d want to introduce a new camera to. **

Usually.

After our somewhat unconventional durability test with the MOBOTIX S ONE Dual’s sensor module, we wanted to know:

How can we demonstrate its durability even more vividly?

The S ONE Dual is designed for demanding environments and features IP66 protection.

So the straightforward approach would have been to simply show the spec sheet.

We opted for a slightly… more visual approach.

In the second clip, the running S ONE Dual is first exposed to fire and then extinguished with plenty of water.

The exciting part isn’t just what you see in front of the camera.

It’s also what the camera itself sees during the process.

Flames. Water. And the video keeps rolling.

That’s exactly what makes this test so interesting to us: The camera isn’t just the subject of the video—it’s also documenting its own little stress test at the same time.

However, the following applies explicitly here as well:

This is not a standardized MOBOTIX test or certification test.

The video neither replaces the official IP tests nor does it expand upon the product specifications listed in the data sheet. And, in particular, handling open flames is, of course, not something you should try at home.

It was a deliberately unconventional demonstration designed to bring an otherwise very technical product feature to life in an emotionally compelling way.

And admittedly:

We knew the camera was rugged.
But watching it survive fire and then a good shower is still fun. :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

Sometimes, product testing can be a little bit of entertainment, too.
