# Password Reset with Mobotix MPL-File on a M16B

The syntax to reset the Password, doesn’t seem to work:

C: \Users \User \desktop\ibc\curl-8.20.0\_5-win64-mingw\curl-8.20.0\_5-win64-mingw\bin» curl -k --data-binary @MX\_pwreset\_for\_10.23.127.53\_2026-06-24.mpl [https://10.23.127.53/admin/hades](https://10.23.127.53/admin/hades)

Any ideas?

Hallo IBC,

der CURL-Aufruf ist korrekt und sollte grundsätzlich funktionieren, sofern sich die MPL-Datei im aktuellen Arbeitsverzeichnis befindet, von dem aus der Befehl ausgeführt wird.

**Wichtig:** Die „hades“-Schnittstelle ist nach einem Neustart der Kamera nur für etwa fünf Minuten verfügbar. Bitte starte die Kamera daher unmittelbar vor dem Ausführen des CURL-Befehls neu.

Sollten weiterhin Probleme auftreten, poste bitte die genaue Fehlermeldung von CURL. Damit lässt sich die Ursache meist schnell eingrenzen.

**Der Schlüssel war in dem Befehl „curl.exe" und nicht nur „curl" in Kombination mit den Anführungszeichen „" zu benutzen!**
