My series x5 cameras are set up with buffered MxFFS archives as the primary recording storage. I have had these cameras for several years but just recently something bad happened to several of them, where the archives show some unexpected sequence numbers. For example:
- the “newest sequence” number in the event list is related to an event hours ago but the current sequence number displayed on the live view is lower than that number
- number of sequences in the event list shows as 1000000 and although the current sequence number displayed on the live view is higher, the “newest sequence” number is stuck at a previous number
Is there a way these archives can be fixed, even if there is some loss of images, or should I just to start from brand new archives? If the latter, what is the cleanest procedure to do this so that the sequences start clean. I do not have easy access to the SD cards since most of them are installed in hard to reach places so I prefer a solution that does not require physical removal of the cards. If i start clean, is there a way to save the old mxffs archives to be directly browsed from MxMC?
