I have a Mobotix M16 camera that I am integrating for a client and need some help with synchronization.
The camera along with other instruments are connected to a real-time data collection system running Linux. The real time system supports time synchronization but only through PTP (IEEE-1588), will the Mobotix camera support PTP? If not how can I synchronize the timestamps of the frame grabs to the real time system.
This also brings me to another question, the real time system will have a storage drive to store all measurements for the system. What is the best way to set up to have the camera capture an image and then transfer over the network to the real time system storage drive?
This will all be on a isolated network in a remote location.
