The MOBOTIX IOT camera can establish an audio or audio/video sip connection with any SIP client.
This article describes the connection between the SIP client Linphone and a MOBOTIX Q25 that establishes the connection between the two devices based on a direct IP call (direct SIP call) in a local network without using SIP servers, SIP accounts or SIP registrars.

In the case described, the macOS variant was used.
A MOBOTIX Q25 was used as the SIB remote station.
The basic requirement for this setup is:
-
Camera has activated Sip Client
-
Camera has Micro and Loudspeaker activated
-
Camera and PC are in the same subnet
-
PC has Linphone installed

Check if the address in the upper left corner contains the local PC address (the additional information like “jst” has been taken over from the Mac user).
-
Enter the address of the MOBOTIX Q25 in the middle input field at the top of the dialog in the following form:
-
Sip:192.168.1.149

Then press the camera icon to start the call.
-
Then the connection with the camera is established with image and sound.
