Move a MOBOTIX HUB Recording Server to another Server Hardware

  1. Install the Recording Server on the target server. The Recording Server service will start automatically when the installation is complete.
  2. Stop the Recording Server service on both the source and target servers.
  3. Copy the file RecorderConfig.xml from the source server to the same folder on the target server (typically found in C:\ProgramData\Milestone\MOBOTIX HUB Coporate Recording Server\
  4. Start the Recording Server service on the target server. It will assume the identity of the old server and download its configuration from the MOBOTIX HUB Management Server.

Note:

  • For best results, the storage configuration and drive letters should be identical on the old and new servers.
  • Never run the Recording Server service on the old and new systems simultaneously.
