Update Options & Advanced Service Benefits
Customers who have purchased an Advanced Service Product license benefit from free updates to the latest version, ensuring continuous access to new features, improvements, and long-term system performance without additional licensing costs.
Customers without an Advanced Service Product license are required to purchase new licenses to upgrade to the current version.
The releases include new product features as well as enhancements to software components, further improving functionality, stability, and overall system performance.

Role-Based Access Control Permissions
With 2025 R3, we introduce role-based Access Control Units (ACUs), allowing permissions and visibility to be managed by user role. The feature improves operational efficiency, reduces configuration complexity, and helps eliminate the need for separate logins to external access control systems. Groups of ACUs can be imported or created as well as assigned permissions, streamlining setup and enhancing security.

This feature introduces a secure and streamlined way to manage visibility and control of ACUs within MOBOTIX HUB. By assigning permissions based on user roles, customers can:
- Ensure that only authorized personnel can view or operate specific ACUs, including I/O devices.
- Eliminate the need for separate logins to third-party access control systems (where supported).
- Benefit from a single interface for video and access control, improving operational efficiency and reducing complexity
It’s especially valuable for organizations seeking to enhance their security posture while simplifying system administration
From a operator point of view:
Operators will experience a cleaner, role-relevant interface where only the ACUs pertinent to their responsibilities are visible. This reduces clutter, minimizes errors, and improves productivity.
Administrators gain direct control over permissions within the MOBOTIX HUB Management Client, allowing them to:
- Create or import predefined ACU groups via manufacturer plugins.
- Apply permissions instantly based on user roles.
- Manage access configurations without relying on external systems

ACU groups are created or replicated from external systems and imported into MOBOTIX HUB through manufacturer plugins. Developers can:

Mobile Clients – Advanced Service Status and Reminders
We now have Advanced Service (ASP) Status and Reminders in Mobile Clients. Users can now see the status of their Advanced Service subscription expiry date, and explanation about the value of Advanced Service as well as how to renew the subscription
This is important to ensure that Mobile Client users are aware that without Advanced Service , they can lose access to certain features such as push notifications.
The page in the apps will display:
- Advanced Service Status
- Expiry Date
- An explanation about the value of having Advanced Service
- A reminder prior to the expiration of Advance Service and a call to action to renew the Advance Service subscription.
Customized Solutions
Mobile Clients – Default View
The preferred view is automatically loaded at startup
This new functionality enables operators to designate a default view in the Mobile Client that automatically opens when connecting to the server.
Its purpose is to minimize navigation time and reduce clicks, allowing operators to promptly reach their most frequently used view upon initial access, thereby improving efficiency during important situations.
There are two methods to set a default view—one via the View Tab and another through the Camera tab. Users simply need to select the star icon to make their choice. A confirmation message appears in the snack-bar, indicating the default view has been successfully created.
Operator Clients – Romanian Language Support
Romanian Language Support has now been added to Operator Clients.
It is available for:
- Desk Client
- Mobile Client
- Web Client

Please note: SMTP Camera Events
The 2024 R2 VMS release was the last to include support for SMTP camera events and events on port 5432; from 2025 R1 it will no longer be available.
New release cadence for the Desk Client
Starting with the 2025 R3 release, the Desk Client will be released independently from MOBOTIX HUB Release. This change enables us to:
- Release updates more frequently
- Respond effectively to market requirements and customer needs
This means the new version of the Desk Client will be continuously released independently from the GA of MOBOTIX 2025 R3 and will have a separate installer available on the download page.
