New in MOBOTIX HUB VMS 2025 R2
Access Control on the Pro Map
With 2025 R2, Pro Maps now supports Access Control Devices. Empowering operators to control access to specific areas in real time.
It enhances visibility and enables operators to easily visualize and monitor access points across different locations.
From a customer point of view:
It improves security. The ability to control access to specific areas in real time on the Pro Map ensures that only authorized personnel can enter.
The ability to react in real time not only enhances security but also enables higher operational efficiency.
From a operator point of view:
It enhances visibility - the ability to easily visualize and monitor access points across various locations on the Pro Map.
This creates an intuitive way for the operator to control the access control units. The map accurately represents the real world, and the geographical overview it provides allows for higher visibility for the operators to react in real time.
Potential for Developers and third party integrations:
It allows for enhanced Customization. Developers can leverage the MIP SDK to tailor the Pro Map functionalities to specific needs, ensuring the Access Control Units are precisely mapped and managed.
Additionally, it enables them to implement real-time synchronization by using the MIP SDK. The developers can ensure that any changes made to the geographical positions of the doors are instantly updated in the VMS and Access Control systems, maintaining real-time accuracy and reliability.

Changes and solved issues
Changes compared to Desk Client 2025 R1
Desk Client – Add Date/Timestamp and Camera name in Snapshot
Operators now have the option to add a date/timestamp and/or camera name to the resulting image file when creating a snapshot in the Desk Client.
This results in adequate proof and traceability for investigations, and administrators can now control timestamp settings on snapshots through a Desk Client profile to ensure operators follow standard procedures.

Identified Pain
Up until now, operators have not been able to include Dates, Timestamps, and Camera Names directly on the resulting image file.
This information has only been accessible in the filename, which adds complexity in using single snapshots for purposes such as reporting or investigations.
The Result
Relying solely on the date, timestamps, and/or camera name included in the file name increases the time required to review reports and materials during investigations.
This extended processing time necessitates additional resources, potentially leading to complications in the workflow for both administrators and operators.
Possible Solution
By adding the ability to have dates, timestamps, and Camera Names directly in the result image file in the Desk Client, it allows for more adequate proof and traceability for investigations and reporting.
Administrators can now control these settings on the snapshots via a Desk Client profile to ensure operators follow the standard procedures, and operators can use the snapshot feature in the Desk Client to save a single frame image from a camera, e.g., for adding to a report or use for investigation directly.
