The new MOBOTIX Plug In update now includes three function packages:

1. The Search Agent for a better forensic search with search filter options for specific MOBOTIX or MOBOTIX APP events (e.g. Activity Sensor or License Plate).

2. New addition - MOBOTIX HELIX integration for the embedding of the Helix website into the MOBOTIX HUB Desk Client.

3. New addition - MOBOTIX Cloud Integration to embed the Cloud website into the MOBOTIX HUB Desk Client.

The development team is constantly working on further extensions of these plug-ins and we will continuously provide updates with many new and exciting topics!

With the new Helix and Cloud integrations, the operator of the HUB Desk Client can access the Helix or Cloud system in his usual application (Desk Client) without having to handle additional access data in a separate browser. A simple switch to a tab in the Desk Client application does this automatically in the background.

The administrator of the MOBOTIX HUB has the option of assigning access to the Helix or Cloud pages in a finely granular manner according to the Hub user rights. This allows him to grant access to selected users as usual.

In a final system, the user can operate the Desk Client as follows to access his Helix instances or Cloud accounts.

MOBOTIX acquires Vaxtor Group

is a back-office application (dashboard) that centrally manages ANPR data transmitted from ALPR cameras to perform access control, parking or traffic applications in any environment. Once set up, ALPR reads are received and processed (e.g. checking for white lIsts, generating alarms, controlling barriers, etc.).

We offer specific Vaxtor apps for our cameras that can be installed on our camera models to perform e.g. number plate recognition on the cameras. These apps also transfer the data to the Helix server if desired.

Installation`s Prerequisite:

  Optional depending on requirements:

• MOBOTIX cameras P7 or P6 models (e.g. M73 or M26) for the forensic search for MOBOTIX events such as Activity Sensor.

• MOBOTIX cameras P7 models (e.g. M73, S74, D71 and Q71) with installed camera apps e.g. Vaxtor LPR for forensic search for number plates or for using the Helix Dashboard.

How to configure a signaled License Plate recognition in Vaxtor ALPR App

Installation for the use of Helix Dashboard

• MOBOTIX Cloud Account for integrating existing cameras into the MOBOTIX Cloud.

The MOBOTIX Plug In has to be installed on the MOBOTIX HUB, which makes the changes in the MOBOTIX Management Client available for configuration and the new tabs for the MOBOTIX HUB Desk Client available for operation. Uninstalling older Plug In’s should not be necessary.

MOBOTIX HUB Management Client Configuration for Helix:

For the integration of one or more instances of Helix, little information needs to be entered in the configuration.

A new instance can be created in the MOBOTIX Helix category and only the following information/ settings need to be made in this instance:

• Name of the instance (displayed in the Desk Client as Name tab).
• Helix user
• Password for the Helix user
• URL of the Helix instance
• User management of which hub user should be shown the new tab.

Configuration of the MOBOTIX Cloud in the MOBOTIX HUB

This can be implemented with a few settings and only requires the following settings:

• Name of the instance (displayed in the Desk Client as Tab Name)
• Cloud account user (email address)
• Password for the cloud user
• URL of the Cloud
• User management which hub user should get the new tab displayed

If the Alarm Manager is to be used additionally, the following steps are necessary:

Basic configuration in the MOBOTIX HUB for using the Alarm Manager for corresponding alarms such as number plate events.

For this purpose, an analytic event must be defined in the HUB:

1. In the Management Client >> Tools >> Analytic Events tab (activate and assign port).

2. In the Management Client in the Site Bar >> Rules and Events >> Create Analytics Event

3. In the Management Client in the Site Bar >> Alarms >> Alarm Definition, you must define which alarm and which camera may report alarms.
