Smart Layouts - Prioritises live activities in the camera layout view
Smart Layouts MOBOTIX CLOUD VMS is an AI-powered feature of the MOBOTIX CLOUD VMS (Video Management System) that automatically prioritises camera views with live activity and displays them at the top of the surveillance dashboard. This ensures that security personnel can immediately see the most important events, such as the presence of people or vehicles, even in systems with hundreds of cameras.
The key aspects of the Smart Layouts feature:
- **AI prioritisation: The system’s cloud-based AI recognises people and vehicles and moves these camera images to the top of the user’s dashboard.
- Immediate visibility: The feature is designed to ensure that critical incidents are immediately visible, improving response times and operational efficiency.
- Scalability: This feature is particularly useful in large corporate environments or multi-site setups where manually monitoring numerous cameras is challenging.
- Customisation: Users can also create custom layouts based on location, specific analytics, or business requirements, such as consolidating views of all cash registers in a retail environment.
- Availability: Smart Layouts is a core feature included in the Professional and Enterprise editions of MOBOTIX Cloud VMS.

Prerequisites
- Prioritising motion
- A motion region must be created in the relevant cameras.
- Prioritisation of persons or vehicles
- Scene Analytics must be activated in the relevant cameras.
As well as persons or vehicle detection analytics (only visible in the enhanced interface)
- Optimal conditions for object detection (people/vehicles)
- Sufficient lighting
- Suitable object size
- Optimal camera angle and position
- Note performance issues relating to bridges and cameras
