Introduction
Even though a Device maybe ONVIF Profile S complaint, there may still be issue integration into MxMC. The factor which contributes to this is that the ONVIF Device has been tested with a different (and often out of date) ONVIF Device Test Tool Version then the ONVIF Client Test Tool Verison that MxMC has been tested with. It is possible that a newer ONVIF Device Test Tool Version will be more stringent and fail certain aspects, which previously passed.
This article is will outline how to check if your ONVIF Device has the same ONVIF version as MxMC.
Checking the MxMC ONVIF Version
The first step is to go to the ONVIF Conformant Products page

Profile(s) = S

Manufacturer = MOBOTIX AG

Select "Search"
. Expand the MxManagementCenter tab
Take note of the:

Date Approved
-
Test Date
-
Version
Check the DoC
Take note of the ONVIF Client Test Tool Version
Checking the Device’s ONVIF Version
Go to the ONVIF Conformant Products page

Application Type = Device
-
Profile(s) = S
-
Manufacturer = (Device Manufacturer)
-
Product Name = (Name of the Device)
-
Select "Search"
Expand the tab for the selected device.
As with the Client settings take note of the:

Date Approved

Test Date

Firmware Version
Check the DoC
Take note of the ONVIF Device Test Tool Version
Comparison
It is now time to compare if there is any major discrepancies between the Device’s
