MOBOTIX regularly provides new HUB versions, typically 3 release versions per year.
Update options:
- Customers who have already purchased an Advanced Service Product license can update to the new version free of charge.
- Customers who do not have an Advanced Service Product licence must purchase new licences for the current version.
The releases contain new product features as well as improvements for the software components.
The release notes contain a detailed list of the improvements and changes.

The MOBOTIX HUB Update Manager simplifies the deployment of hotfixes across multiple servers from a central location. This centralized approach helps safeguard VMS systems and reduces operational costs.
Additionally, the Advanced Service Reminder in the Management Client alerts administrators when their Advanced Service subscription is about to expire, allowing them to renew proactively and maintain uninterrupted support.

The new Combined Media Player Format in the MOBOTIX HUB Desk Client simplifies the sharing of video exports by allowing users to export multiple video sequences into a single file, streamlining investigations and collaboration.
Management Client - Advance Service Reminder
With Advance Service Reminders in the Management Client, you arm your system integrator or administrator to act proactively instead of reactively.
If a Advance Service subscription is about to expire, a pop-up notification will inform the administrator once when logging into the Management Client.
This empowers them to safeguard your product throughout its lifetime and thus protect your investment.

Care subscriptions end without system integrators or admins knowing.
Sometimes, system integrators or admins:
- Are not aware of their Care subscription.
- Don’t keep track of their Care subscription.
- Act reactively when it’s too late as opposed to proactively.
The Result
Expired Advance Service subscriptions mean a loss in revenue for partners that sell software maintenance agreements.
And from an end-customer perspective it means they lose access to MOBOTIX HUB latest release.
From an end-customer business perspective, this means an increase in operational costs due to:
- Lack of the ability to upgrade when needed, creating possible compliance issues.

Possible Solution
The Advance Service reminder in the Management Client addresses the previously mentioned issues.
When logging on to the Management Client, a notification will be shown twice. The message will pop up, up to 120 days before, and again up to 20 days before, the Advance Service subscription expires.
This helps create awareness about the Advance Service subscription expiring and empowers system integrators or administrators to act proactively. Thus, minimizing operational costs, safeguarding the VMS systems and keeping the business always on.

New combined media player format tells the story
The new combined media player format simplifies internal video investigations.
It allows the Head of Surveillance to quickly export a single file containing all video sequences from the Desk Client, without relying on 3rd party tools.
Thus, empowering decision-makers to review investigative video footage and act fast in critical incidents when time is of the essence.

Sharing video sequences with management during incidents is cumbersome and requires the Head of Surveillance to be rather tech-savvy.
Often, VMS operators:
- Rely on 3rd party tools when working with footage.
- Use screen recording to record video when creating a story.
- Share video investigations with non-tech-savvy decision-makers who don’t know about video formats.
- The final video story to be shared is not sharable by email.
The Result
Excessive time spent on creating video sequences investigating incidents is inefficient and frustrating for both operators and managers.
From a business perspective, this means an increase in operational costs due to:
- Prolonged investigations due to ways of working.
- Escalated margin of errors due to manual processes.
- Inefficient risk management.
Possible Solution
The new combined media player format address the previously mentioned challenges by allowing the user to export in a new format:
- combined media play format.
This format creates a combined file containing all exported video sequences, one after the other, in a format playable in a normal media player application on most platforms.
This enables Head of Surveillance and VMS operators to quickly report to management becoming more productive and efficient in preventing critical incidents.
It could also potentially decrease operational costs due to everything being handled within the Smart Client without the need of 3rd party tools.
Web Client - Auto-hide the timeline in full-screen mode
You can now auto-hide the timeline when you’re in full-screen mode to maximize your display area. The timeline is automatically hidden after five seconds of inactivity.
Mobile Client - for Android and iOS users
Alarms on pro map:
On a pro map, you can now see the new alarms associated with the cameras and view the alarms’ details… This feature is only available in certain MOBOTIX HUB VMS products. See the complete feature list, which is available on the product overview page on the MOBOTIX HUB website.
