I am using Mobotix I25 cameras
I want to specify the maximum record time when an event is detected
Only Video motion is activated
I select 10s preview time and 60s record time
Dead time is set to 70s
No end record by next event is selected
WIth this settings the record time is always arround 10s.
What is wrong in these settings, or what is missing

Hello Philippe,
yes this should work and produce a recording of total 70 sec in a normal case.
Let us check the precondition.
1.You are using the “embedded” camera recording to the Internal SD Card or to an Fileserver which you have setup in the Camera Admin menu! (i want clarify that you are not using any central VMS systems which handle the recording time independently from the camera settings!)
2. You defined in the Setup Dialog under Event Overview the VideoMotion as shown in the image with the 70 sec Event Deadtime of the VideoMotion:
I assume you have setup other events in the camera which trigger in parallel the recording , properly every 10 sec. By Default you should seen in the Liveimage all activated Events in the camera at the lower left corner in the Image. Based on your description you should have only the ima or how ever you have called your VideoMotion profile.

Important how you are playing the recorded video , with the Browser or our MxMC, to avoid that you only use the Browser Playback which cant play the full video!
Please check this points and provide for further question more infos about your environment, fW version and properly some screenshots!

Important Keyword in your case is “FTP Upload”!
FTP Upload was mainly made for typical Web Upload applications and not made for security applications. With a FTP Upload the camera will limited the Videoclip via FTP to max to 10 Sec Before and 10 sec After.
As shown in the Admin - FTP Profiles Dialog:
I assume you are not performing any Web Applications and it is more based on security reasons. In this case i would recommend to use the Recording of the camera on the internal SD Card or connect a local NAS as Fileserver to store the recordings.
In this case the Recordings will be as you have setup in the Setup → Recording dialog.
With the MOBOTIX Management Center VMS (MxMC) you can access to the live and the recordings and proceed playback and export of the recorded video.
Based on the configuration of your environment you can access the Camera and the Recordings as well from remote!

The NAS (Fileserver) setup is depending on the NAS type, if you have a MOBOTIX NAS or a QNAP NAS , the pages before explain almost the important steps to setup your NAS.
