I’m currently trying to understand a playback issue with a MOBOTIX T26 and I would appreciate some feedback from users who have experience with this model.
Hardware: last firmware
– MOBOTIX T26
– MxDisplay (latest firmware)
– MOBOTIX LIVE app (Android)
Problem:
Playback of recorded events/videos is not fluid (stuttering / skipped frames).
The playback of recorded events is affected.
Observations so far: Same behaviour on both MxDisplay and MOBOTIX LIVE, which suggests it may come from the camera side.
Question:
Which parameters on a T26 actually influence smooth playback of recorded events?
Is this linked to the internal event recording mode rather than RTP streaming?
Thank you in advance for any insight or shared experience,
There are multiple things, that affect recording framerate. But i would start by checking what resolution you are recording (and if full image recording is active). Also if motion detection is activated.
I checked the Recording dialog. The camera is set to Event Recording with audio.
Start Recording is triggered only by camerabellbutton and Retrigger is also limited to this signal.
Full Image Recording is enabled at 6 MP with 90 % JPEG quality.
Also i found difference between 70% and 80% in quality to be minimal and 90% basically being placebo option.
6MP on fish eyes is useless as difference between that and 5mp are black bars on the side of image
You could save on bandwidth with these two options.
If you would set live to 5mp as well, as disable full image recording, you’d get few more fps. Also be sure to check if PoE is set to class 3. Activating High sensitivity MxPEG could also reduce perceived stuttering.
