Why doesn’t MXMC allow an environment temp setting to be set above 100 degrees fahrenheit in MXMC? This has been the case for quite a few versions. I can set it to a higher level on the camera interface. But, let’s say I go into MXMC and change the setting on the Shock Detector, when I hit “save” it will also change my temperature trigger to 98.90000000000001 (from my previously set 120 degrees that I put on the camera via web interface).
To recap, the highest temp I can input on MXMC is 98 degrees F. When I set the temp via web interface, I can set it to 120 (my desired temp). But if I ever go back and do some configs for this same camera in MXMC, then MXMC will change the temp back to 98 degrees.
We looked into this in detail and found that it’s a limitation in the camera software API. The camera API used by MxMC restricts the value to a maximum of 99. Higher values currently need to be set via the camera’s web browser.
We will review this API limitation in detail and plan to adjust it in future camera versions.
If you get a chance, I’ve been asking about why my Mx-M1A-S camera does not allow custom exposure windows. I have not received a response. I’m just wonder if this is part of the camera software design for this series. Or, if there was a mistake in adding the ability to add custom exposure windows. Thank you!
Hi Ben,
thanks for the feedback and sorry for not getting back to you earlier about this request. We had to make some changes in the way the custom exposure windows are implemented, which is why they are not yet available in the M1A-S Firmware.
With one of the next updates (should be done next quarter) we will reintroduce that option.
