Is there any option we can set a timer to an environmental event using thermal radiometry
Cam utilises the thermal validation app to filter out false alarms but still trigger alarm as the cam picks up the exhaust of truck parked in the loading bay tipping the load or a loader parked int he tipping floor with engine running. Is there a way we can set up a timer so that the cam wont trigger alarm or send email notifications or any other actions, say for 60 secs.
Or can we program the cam to rely on a rate of temperature rise technique to trigger the alarm
I think thermal validation and thermal radiometry utilises 2 different types of events.
Which one you need to delay?
Did you try playing with Meta events?
Hi Bosko
I did try with metaevent. Yes it will give a time delay but it does have problem when it comes to integration with fire panels (requires non-latching input from thermal camera).
Please see the below what I did in meta event:
Minimum Delay in ‘Event logic’ set at 30 secs.
MxOutput box , ‘Output ON’ timer set for 10 secs.
Hotspot is introduced and left in front of the camera.
After 30 secs, cam detected the hotspot and output ‘closed’. Then 10 secs after the output have been closed, the output will be ‘opened’ (because of the 10 secs timer).
Hotspot is still there in front of the cam, but output will not be ‘closed’ instantaneously until another 30 secs has been completed after the initial detection.
What we need to achieve here is, as long as the hot spot is present and initial detection delay (30 secs) is served, the output must close as soon as it opens after the operation of 10 secs timer. Here it closes after another 30 secs.
