The Mobotix Hub offers a 4 eyes principle (supervisor), but not like e.g. the MxManagementCenter.
Here, the Mobotix HUB proceeds a little differently.
In the MxManagementCenter, various individual options can be enabled using the 4 eyes principle.
In the Mobotix HUB, this is only possible for the user login and not for individual functions.
This means that if a user is added to a user role and is only allowed to log in with a second confirmation, a supervisor must confirm the login.
If the user is logged in, he has the access rights to what is assigned to him in his user role. No new function can be activated later by the supervisor in the login.
This would then have to be entered in the user role.
How to configure a Supervisormode
1.Configure a Supervisor Role
ManagementClient → Security → Roles → Right Click → Add Role
in this case we named it: Supervisor
Set the Right which the Supervisor should have.
The following point is important to “activate” the right to authroize users.
Click on Overall Security → ManagementServer
Check the Box : Authorize users
Add your Basic or Windows User to the Role which should have Supervisor Rights
Users and Groups
2.Configure a “normal” Userrole which need a second authorization for login
ManagementClient → Security → Roles → Right Click → Add Role
in this case we named it: Reception
Under Info check the Box: Login authorization required
This means, that when a User of this Role want’s to Login in for example in DeksClient he must be authorized by a Supervisor User
Add your Basic or Windows User to the Role
Users and Groups
Configure all rights for the Userrole like you want.
Here it is important to know that after login the user is allowed to do everything that is enabled in this user role.
Individual options can only be allowed or blocked by the user role!
Now when you try to Login into the DeskClient for example with your “normal” User who needs a authorization
When entering the Login Data and click on Connect you will get this Screen and you need to enter the Supervisor credentials
Here you can see a short clip of how it works:
