This document proposes a cost-effective monitoring solution by utilizing the MOBOTIX Video Motion Windows feature to automatically detect changes in the visual state of an OOH display. By defining motion detection windows on selected regions of the screen, the MOBOTIX camera can identify whether the displayed content is actively changing as expected or has become static, blank, or unresponsive. When an abnormal condition is detected, the camera can immediately generate an event and trigger notifications or integrate with external monitoring systems for prompt investigation and corrective action.
Preparation:
- Go To “Setup Menu”, make sure you already set your exposure correctly on your screen.
- Go To “Setup Menu > General Event Settings > Arming > Enabled”
Make sure above configuration done on the camera before you continue to the next step.
Now follow below steps for creating Video Motion Box. Per camera able to create up to 20 different zones with every box you can set sensitivity and how many percent of pixel inside the window need to be change. See below steps:
- Go To “Setup Menu”, Delete all “Image Analysis Events” by check the “Delete” box and press “Set”
- Now press “Edit” on the “Image Analysis Events”
- Press “More” on the bottom right corner of that menu and after the page refresh delete all “Video Motion Definitions”
- Now scroll down and press “Add new profile”, Give the name of the profile (e.g.: Zone1)
- Set “Event Dead Time” becoming “0”
- Change “Event Sensor Type” becoming “Video Motion”
- Press “Add Detection Area”, (note: start from MOBOTIX 7-series you can draw polygon box with your mouse, for Mx4, Mx5 & Mx6 see steps at the end of this page).
- After add the area, on the “Image Analysis Events” page, see in “Video Motion Definitions” and you will see the area that you just added. Adjust the “Minimum area” and “Sensitivity”. Adjust depend on the pixel changes on your screen. NOTE: Make sure when the screen change the event always trigger.
- Press “Set” and after page refresh make sure press “Close” to permanently save the configuration.
- You can repeat “Step 4” to create multizone. Maximum can create up to 20 zones.
- After All the “Zones” has been set, now go to “Setup Menu > Event Overview > Meta Events”
- In “Meta Events” menu, press “Add new profile” and you can give any name, in this case my meta event name is “count” and follow these steps:
- Set “Event Dead Time” becoming “0”
- Set “Event Sensor Type” becoming “Event Counter”
- Now set how many “Video Motion (step 4)” event need to be count
- Change “Condition” becoming “Less”
- Set “Event to Count” from the Video Motion that created before
- Set “Minimum Delay” becoming “0”
- Set “Maximum Delay” becoming “30” (this will be dependent on how long you wanted the event trigger if the screen is not changing)
- Set “Action Type” becoming “Every”
- After All Events Set, now go to “Setup Menu > Action Group Overview”, press “Add new group”
- Give new group name and press “Edit”
- Follow the steps to make the action always trigger when the screen got issue:
- Give “Action Group” name with any simple name
- Make sure “Arming” is “Enabled”
- Select the “Event Selection” using the “Meta Event” that created in “Step 7”
- Press “Add new action” and you can set what is the output when the event / screen have issue, e.g. “Action 1 : Visual Alarm Red 10 Seconds”
