M16 camera connection problem over ethernet

I have two M16 cameras hardwired to my router on the network 192.168.88.1 The cameras are powered by power over Ethernet, 162.198.88.253 and 192.168.88.254. I can ping both cameras and they are on the same network and subnet.

I can only connect to one of the cameras (192.168.88.253) . When I try to connect to camera on 254 my web page gives an error that says connection refused. The camera appears to be working externally though the sequence of red light flashes is difficult to determine. I think the red led is flashing constantly.

I cannot find in the manual a table of LED error signals. I have checked the wiring. I have rebootthe camera by removing and repalcing the Ethernet.

I am not sure why if I can ping the camera why I can’t connect to it. I have not changed any of the software settings. My router is up to date.

It is a Mikrotik router and supplies both cameras. I can’t think that it is related to the router.

How do I reset it to DHCP?.

Based on what you indicate, I would first look at the settings in admin menu and Ethernet Interface, a simple extra space or less point and everything is broken.

Hi!

Please start the camera with DHCP as stated in the quick installation guide from our homepage:

If that doesn’t help, feel free to contact your distributor with this issue or Mobotix directly: support@mobotix.com.
