Mobile Bridge Configurator (for the expert):
In most cases, nothing needs to be changed in the bridge configuration, the connection to the cloud happens automatically. In cases where an adjustment of the predefined (automatic) settings is necessary, e.g. assigning a static IP, changing the password, etc., the Mobile Bridge Configurator helps to set this on site via the smartphone instead of connecting a monitor and keyboard.
With the help of the network diagnostics, problems in the network can also be analysed.

The following main functions are available:

  • System information such as:
    • Firmware version of the bridge
    • ESN number of the bridge* WAN IP configuration
  • CamLan IP configuration
  • Network diagnostics
    • Scanning
    • Sending the report via email or e.g. via WhatsAPP
  • Bridge Reboot
  • Reset bridge to factory settings

Prerequisite:

  1. IOS or Android phone with MOBOTIX CLOUD APP 7.9.6 or higher.
  2. bridge with current firmware (if required, the update can also be performed via support@mobotix.com if it is not done automatically)
  3. USB cable to connect the smartphone to the bridge USB port. It is important that the USB cable is suitable for data transfer. Therefore, only use cables that are MFi certified (Made for iPod/iPhone/iPad).
  4. access password for the bridge (factory settings the last five numbers of the bridge serial number e.g. BR-304-12345)

Connection via IOS:

  1. Launch the MOBOTIX CLOUD app.
  2. Log in to Cloud Account
  3. Connect the iPhone to the bridge via USB cable.
  4. Confirm the Iphone message “Trust computer”.
  5. The Bridge Configurator automatically appears on the iPhone.
  6. log in with user: Admin and password: e.g. 12345

Connection via Android:

  1. Activate USB debugging (usually under System - Developer Settings - Activate USB Debugging).
  2. Start the MOBOTIX CLOUD app.
  3. Log in to Cloud Account
  4. Connect the iPhone to the Bridge via USB cable.
  5. Confirm the Iphone message “Trust computer”.
  6. The Bridge Configurator automatically appears on the iPhone.
  7. Log in with user: Admin and password: e.g. 12345
