Correction of a fisheye image in the live and playback view
Fisheye correction allows the Desk Client user to rectify any camera with a fisheye lens according to requirements. This is done by activating the function in the camera channel via a slider. This can be used to define the degree of equalisation.
This function can be applied to the saved video data in the live image and in the playback view.
The user can switch between the corrected and original image at any time. The camera image is recorded unchanged and is based on the original format.
The function is hidden under the following symbol:

The user can use the digital zoom function of the MOBOTIX HUB to move back and forth in the corrected image. The rectification is also taken into account in Zoom mode.

Further image optimisation effects that can be applied to the image
These effects are based on different calculation algorithms with additional setting options than the ‘Fisheye’ option. Depending on the camera, lens type or camera position, these effects may be more optimal than the first option ‘Fisheye Correction’.
MOBOTIX HUB Desk Client Player - supports the Fisheye plugin
The Desk Client offers the possibility to export video data including a stand-alone player application (Hub Desk Client Player). This allows third parties such as the police, public prosecutor’s office or insurance companies to conveniently play back the transmitted video material with the MOBOTIX HUB Desk Client Player. The Fisheye PlugIn supports this separate Desk Client Player and the user can equalise the fish-eye image as in the MOBOTIX HUB VMS!
ManagementClient setting options
In the Management Client, the admin can specify whether use is unrestricted or whether only certain users can use the Fisheye function.
In the factory setting, access is blocked for all users. (Remove the ‘Restrict Access’ tick)

- MOBOTIX HUB Hotfix Video Effect 2025-03-18 (or newer)
- MOBOTIX HUB Plug-Ins 2025-03-27 or newer
