Hi JoergS,
I put multiple ntp servers but they all seem to get rejected. See picture below.
Hello Kapitaininsano,
NTP is a very robust service that has been in use for years, but is also very restrictive when it comes to time jumps. If the cameras already deviate by over 4000 seconds (as is the case in your setup), it is advisable to manually synchronise the time with the PC once and then the NTP service will synchronise the time properly.
So please press once the “Set time to time of local PC” and press “set” , wait a moment and press “close”.
After that open the menu again and check the NTP Service, expectation the NTP Server shows messages in Green!
Bye Jörg
Hi Jorg,
I tried what you suggested and something strange happens. The time settings don’t save and seem to reset to default settings after hitting “set” and “close”. I’ve attached a link to a screen recording so you can see what is going on.
On the other hand, once the time is set correct, the notifications do seem to come through. For whatever reason the time does not stay corrected.
Hello Kaptaininsano,
after you have manually setup the time settings in the Time menu “someone” changed the settings from US /Central to Custom / Posix.
This could be three reasons:
I assume it is properly the Case 1 , that another System where the camera is connected overwrite the settings. A solution could be to setup the correct time zone in that “external” system.
Hi Jorg,
I believe you are correct. The system was setup to record with a NVR using ONVIF and when I disconnect it from the NVR, the problem seems to go away. I will continue to troubleshoot but appreciate all your help.
