After installing iOS 18 on iPhone 15 Pro the app is very unstable. Crashes when trying to open door on T25, when trying to export/import app settings etc.
Reinstalling the app does not solve the issue.
Thanks dsnabel,
for the feedback, we would investigate this case more in detail. Can you please provide to our support@mobotix.com more details of your issue:
- Camera Version
- Camera report
Please reference in the email to this Community report and our QA will take a look at it.
Thanks for the Support , Jörg
Same problem. No push notifications (even with newer software download)
Hello Alain,
dsnabel report about crashes with the App but not mention Push Notification.
Can you please specify your experience ?
Thanks Jörg
Steps taken:
- Reinstalled fresh installation of Mobotix Live app
- Rebooted iphone (hard reset)
- Rebooted camera
- Tried to setup new install on Mobotix Live app (because importing settings file is not possible).
- All devices running on iOS 17 al not affected and still work properly
- All devices updated to iOS 18 are affected
- Checked for software update of camera (and MXModules like IO board, keypad mxdoormaster etc) and app. All on latest version.
- The app also crashes when trying to import or export settings to file in iOS app.
- Using open button on other cameras → Same result (even when pressing cancel)
- Notify profiles cannot be enabled anymore → app crashes. So I do not receive notifications anymore.
Because of point 10 no notifications are possible anymore. When trying to enable the app crashes.
When i want to open the door. The app crashes. I don’t here a sound when someone pushes on my T25.
On my wife here iphone everything is OK.
Thanks dsnabel,
for the detailed descriptions to reproduce the issues!
We can confirm the issue and we have not found any workaround. Our R&D team is investigating the case and until no MOBOTIX LIVE APP update is available we recommend NOT to update to the IOS 18 Version.
Currently the preferred IOS Version from Apple is the Version 17.7 and it is working with the MOBOTIX APP.
Until we have solved the issue with IOS18 we recommend to disable the automatic update in the Iphone´s and Ipad´s!
We will keep you updated on this matter!
Bye Jörg
I have similar problem where I do not get push notification after upgrading to the latest firmware. I am on the latest version of the Mobotix Live IOS app and I have 2 phones, 1 with IOS 17.7 and one with IOS 18 and neither get the push notification. For a while, I was able to get the push notification to work by going back to the previous version of the firmware but that no longer works. I have tried various older firmwares and reloading Mobotix Live and so far no luck.
Hallo Kaptaininsano,
thanks for your feedback and we take such feedback very seriously. Specially at the moment where we have instability with the IOS Version 18.
We checked with our QA the different scenarios with IOS 17.7 and 18.
In Short:
- Both Version are providing push and ringing in the APP.
- The IOS Version 17.7 working normal , without noticeable issues
- The IOS Version 18 is in general not stable in therms of , open dialogs or settings and result often in a crash.
That you recognized that the IOS 17.7 not ringing this must be another issue.
Please check the follow steps:
FIRST:
Confirm that you have the follow Firmware installed:
- T25 -->4.7.3.11-r6
- T26 → 5.4.9.4-r3
SECOND:
In the MOBOTIX LIVE app (on the IOS 17.7) please do the follow:
- Disable the Ring Notification wait until the connection to the camera has taken place (properly 30-60 sec)
- Close the App and Open the App
- Enable the Ring Notification wait until the connection to the camera has taken place (properly 30-60 sec)
→ try again the Doorstation and ring!
If this is not working please check the follow steps in the Kamera Configuration:
- Deactivate ALL notifications to all mobile devices,
- then look into the camera configuration to see how many Notify Profiles are there and delete all ‘iPhone for Ring Events’ and ‘iPhone for all Events’,
- Then look into the ‘Bell Behaviour and Video Mailbox’ dialogue and delete all entries for ‘iPhone’ in ‘Remote Stations for Door Station’, then,
- in the same dialogue in the ‘Signaling Phase 1’ section, delete all entries for ‘iPhone’ there too, then
- ‘Set’ and “Close” and save.
- Restart the door station.
- After the door station has started up again, set the iPhone ON notification for Ring
- Test the Ring at the doorstation by pressing the doorbell.
**Important: **Please don´t use the IOS 18 to enable or disable any Ring Notification in your test scenario
Hi JoergS,
This is actually for my D71 camera. I’m running software MX-V7.3.4.23-r2 (2024-06-14). I think the issue is on the camera side as I have attempted all of the actions mentioned in your note and no success. I’ve attached the network test log and you can see there is a problem getting an authorization token.

Thanks Amir-Ramic,
this feedback was very helpful and provide a clear picture of the reported issues.
In general in this Community Report we have two different issues reported which we need to separate:
- Crash and instability with the IOS 18 (this is not your case)
- Camera is sometimes not sending the Push Notification (your camera did not get the authorization token)
The IOS 18 Crash we was able to reproduce this issue and have already a solution. The new IOS APP Version is currently in the QA test Phase and will released in the next days.
The second issue that the camera sometimes i not able to send the Push we was not able yet to reproduce this issue, but now with the valid feedback from the community we will adapt our tests.
Hello Amir-Ramic,
i forgot one important topic, can you confirm that your camera has a valid Date and Time. The Google Push service will not accept request with an wrong Date & time. Please confirm that you are using in the Cameras a valid NTP Server for example:
Please let us know!
Thanks Jörg
This may be related to the problem. I have been having problems getting the cameras to show the correct time when using an ntp and selecting the time zone. It appears to be off by 1 hr. See picture below showing camera time is 14:02 CDT while actual time shown on my iphone is 13:02 CDT.
Hello Kaptaininsano, Alain, Dsnabel and Amir,
for all who have installed the IOS 18 and have Crashes you can test our Beta Version of the MOBOTIX LIVE APP. I have invited your via the TestFlight Application from Apple to share Beta Versions. This version is currently in our QA for testing, but it would be nice if you can confirm if your Crash behavior is solved.
For all who have ONLY the Push Notification issue, please make sure that you have a correct date and time in the camera.
Thanks Jörg
Hi Jorg,
Ive tested the beta and all functionality is fixed.
- dialogue buttons (open door, save settings file etc.) are fixed
- Notifications can be enabled again.
I’ll test the beta coming days to see if I will find any thing else.
Kind regards,
Met vriendelijke groeten,
Daan
Hello Kaptaininsano,
can you confirm that you have the correct timezone defined in your camera. With correct Timezone and activ NTP Server it will work accordingly .
Yes, I have the correct time zone set but the camera is indicating the wrong time. See below camera time and PC time.
He Kapitaininsano,
i am missing the communication with the Timeserver (no green lines below in the screenshot.
Please try some other NTP Timeserver or add another one
.
Hello ,
we have today released a new MOBOTIX LIVE APP Version with the IOS 18 Fix.
Thanks guys for the support!
