Mobotix D26 - No Images

Good afternoon,

I have a Mobotix D26, which unfortunately has only been displaying “no images” for some time.

The firmware is up to date and the camera can be accessed “normally” via the web interface.

Is it possible to find out what is causing the problem? Or what could be the reason for the camera not providing a live image?

Many thanks in advance for possible solutions…

Hello user_D26_002,

hard to identify the root cause of the issue, without System Report / Camera Report and the Support Team from MOBOTIX.

I would check first two things:

  1. Is the camera time up to date?
  2. Is the POE Class and POE Switch correct?

this Community report highlight the details:

But the best case is to get back to the MOBOTIX Support and provide the Camera report as mention in the linked article.

Hello Mx-JoergS,

thank you for your feedback. I guess you are on the right track about the issue.

I believe that the camera is in power emergency mode but nothing could stop it by now.

These are the error messages that are available in the log:

(1) TERMINAL FAILURE : daemon control semaphore access failure!
(2) RTC battery discharged. Do one of the following to recover: * Leave camera connected for 3 hours to allow battery to recharge. * Use a time server to always have a valid system time.
(3) Unable to open POE NVRAM.
(4) checkrtc: time lost due to battery failure.

I already confirmed the error messages, set the time manually, saved the configuration and forced a restart but nothing did change.

It is also important to say that the camera is online for several days so the battery should be fully charged by now (however it is not).

In addition I already replaced the POE Injector to a new one, but this did also not help and I still get the same error messages as before.

Could it maybe be really the case that the battery needs to be replaced? And if yes do you know which battery is suitable as a replacement?

Thank you.

Hello user_d26_002,

a battery change should be done in the factory and not by your self. Please get back to our Support and request a Camera repair and share your camera report file with them. Finally they decide what is the best next step.
