MOBOTIX HUB Advanced Services (ASP) – Changes from 24 August 2026
With effect from 24 August 2026, MOBOTIX is updating its offering for MOBOTIX HUB Advanced Services (ASP).
We have deliberately kept things simple for our partners: the familiar ASP contract terms of 1, 3 and 5 years will remain in place. At the same time, rejoining the ASP scheme for existing MOBOTIX HUB installations will be made significantly easier.

What ASP contract terms does MOBOTIX offer?
MOBOTIX continues to offer its well-known ASP products with fixed annual contract terms:

The ‘x’ stands for the respective MOBOTIX HUB level L2, L3, L4 or L5.
This means partners can continue to base their calculations on the familiar and straightforward annual model.
Will the invoicing process change?
No.
ASP will continue to be charged and invoiced as a one-off payment in advance for the entire selected term.
For a 3-year ASP, for example, the customer will not receive monthly or annual invoices, but rather a single invoice covering the entire agreed ASP term.
What happens to existing ASP contracts?
Existing ASP contracts remain unchanged.
There will be no automatic conversion of existing contracts. The current ASP expiry date remains the same.
Upon subsequent renewal, the customer can once again choose between 1, 3 or 5 years’ ASP.
How do extensions to an existing installation work?
If additional cameras or device licences are added whilst an ASP is active, the ASP for these new licences will continue to be adjusted to the existing ASP expiry date.
Example
An installation still has 18 months of active ASP remaining.
The customer expands the installation by 5 additional device licences.
ASP is extended for the remaining 18 months to cover the five new device licences.
As a result:
- all device licences continue to have the same ASP expiry date,
- there remains only one common renewal date,
- management of the installation is simplified.
The corresponding monthly item continues to be used for these extensions:
- Mx-HUB-L2-1MDEV
- Mx-HUB-L3-1MDEV
- Mx-HUB-L4-1MDEV
- Mx-HUB-L5-1MDEV
What’s changing for new ASP sign-ups?
There’s an important improvement here.
A customer already has a MOBOTIX HUB installation but either:
- has not yet taken out an ASP, or
- has an ASP contract that has already expired.
Previously, a special 3-Year Opt-In ASP was required to rejoin the scheme.
This product will be discontinued from 24 August 2026.
In future, a standard 1-Year ASP with a 12-month term for each installed device licence will suffice for re-enrolment.
The following is used:

This makes rejoining the MOBOTIX HUB ASP significantly easier and more attractive.

With an active ASP, your existing HUB software investment is credited towards an upgrade to HUB L3 or higher.
What happens without ASP?
The MOBOTIX HUB licences you have purchased remain valid indefinitely even without ASP.
However, without an active ASP, no new software versions or ASP services will be available.
If you wish to upgrade to a new major version of HUB at a later date, a new software licence or a corresponding upgrade may be required.
With an active ASP, the available software updates are already included for the duration of the contract.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I still subscribe to ASP for one year?
Yes. MOBOTIX continues to offer ASP for 1, 3 and 5 years.
Will there be monthly billing in future?
No. The entire selected ASP term will continue to be charged and invoiced as a one-off payment in advance.
Can I purchase ASP retrospectively for an existing installation?
Yes. Signing up will become even easier from 24 August. In future, a standard 1-Year ASP will suffice for each installed device licence.
What happens if my ASP has already expired?
In this case too, ASP can be reactivated. The 3-Year Opt-In ASP previously required is no longer necessary. In future, a standard 1-Year ASP per installed device licence will suffice to reactivate the service.
Can I renew my existing ASP?
Yes. ASP can still be renewed for 1, 3 or 5 years before it expires.
What happens if I add more cameras during the ASP term?
The additional device licences will be covered by ASP until the existing expiry date of the installation. This ensures that all licences retain a common renewal date.
Do my HUB licences remain valid after ASP expires?
Yes. Your purchased MOBOTIX HUB licences remain valid permanently. However, once the ASP has expired, no new software versions or ASP services will be available.
Can I start with HUB L2 and upgrade to HUB L3 or higher later?
Yes. With an active ASP, your existing software investment is protected and will be credited towards an upgrade to HUB L3 or higher.
