Openpath Access Control Integration
Openpath is a cloud-based access control system that lets users safely control entries from everywhere.
Openpath’s integration with MOBOTIX HUB lets you associate doors and entries with cameras connected to MOBOTIX HUB, enabling you to unlock and lock entries directly from the MOBOTIX HUB Desk Client. This security solution is ideal for multi-tenant applications like corporate offices and apartment complexes, and provides enhanced protection for small businesses, retail stores, schools and places of worship.

- Associate Openpath users with videos in MOBOTIX HUB
- Link Openpath Doors to cameras in MOBOTIX HUB
- Temporarily unlock Openpath integrated doors and lock doors as needed
- Create alarms in MOBOTIX HUB Alarm Manager based on access control events

What is needed to be able to use the Openpath plug-in?
These are the requirements for being able to use the plug-in.
Function overview
The plug-in allows users to see door access events (locked, opened etc.) directly inside the MOBOTIX HUB interface
Associate access points with cameras to organize the interface
HUB users can be associated with cardholders and cardholders can be managed inside MOBOTIX HUB
Openpath access events can be managed (e.g. access granted / denied)
How to install this plug-in:
1st step: setup the integration on the MOBOTIX HUB server:
- Run the Openpath_ACX_Plugin exe
- Find the Openpath_ACX exe and run it as an administrator
- Change the following settings under MOBOTIX HUB Configuration:
• Local port: is required, and it must match the port defined in the MOBOTIX HUB Access Control
settings
• Remote host: is required, and it must be the IP address of the machine that is running the
event server
• MOBOTIX plugin: has two settings, October-2019 or Before October-2019—select the
appropriate version for your setup - Change the following settings under Openpath Configuration:
User and Password is required. Enter the login credentials of an Openpath Super Admin user.
Openpath recommends creating a dedicated user for this purpose. - Click Save then Close
2nd step: MOBOTIX HUB Management Client Configuration:

Go to Site Navigation

Right-click on Access Control and click Create New
Note: Leave User name and Password as the default. Ensure that the Port field matches the ACX
Plugin.
3. Click Next and follow the prompts to tie cameras to door

Restart MOBOTIX HUB Event Server, then open Openpath_ACX exe and confirm that everything is
connected:

Open MOBOTIX HUB Client. There should be an Access Control tab in the client now, and you can add information to live views as well.
Now Openpath can be used within MOBOTIX HUB.
