When inserting the blue anti-theft protection key in the frame and pressing upwards, resistance is felt and the contacts do not release. This is due to the fact that the security switch on the inside of the frame was activated at the time of installation. The modules can only be taken out if the anti-theft protection has been deactivated.
To release the anti-theft protection, different methods are possible:
- anti-theft protection connected to MxDoorMaster
If the anti-theft protection (the two black wires coming from the frame) are connected to OUT1+ and OUT-, you need to press simultaneously the speaker button and the key button for 10 seconds until the blue LED on MxDoorMaster flashes. The anti-theft protection is now unlocked for 90 seconds.
- anti-theft protection not connected to MxDoorMaster
If the anti-theft protection (the two black wires coming from the frame) are not connected to a MxDoorMaster, but are available inside the building, a voltage source (6-12V DC, e.g. MxSwitch) can be connected. As soon as the voltage source is connected, the anti-theft protection will be unlocked. Important note: The anti-theft protection needs to be disconnected from the voltage source latest after 5 minutes in order to avoid an overload.
What to do if the anti-theft protection is unlocked, but there is still resistance felt?
This can happen if the frame is mounted with a slight mechanical stress due to rough surface.
In this case, while the anti-theft protection is unlocked, knocking or hammering slightly to the side of the frame between the undermost module and the module above (see picture below, approximately where the from black cable is running into the frame) on both sides might help to release the lock.
What to do if the anti-theft protection is not accessible anywhere?
If the anti-theft protection was forgotten to connect and is not accessible, please contact MOBOTIX support for a solution.
